Mindfulness Tips To Reduce Daily Stress

 Here are a few simple everyday tips to do just that: 

1. Switching off 

In the new age of technology, it is easy to become overwhelmed by constant information and online engagement. Reducing your scroll time can benefit mindfulness in more ways than one. At least one hour before sleeping, consider switching off your screens – instead, swap it for a nicely dimmed room and a paperback. Not only can this help relax the mind and boost your well-being, it can also help improve sleep quality.  

2. Journaling 

Thoughts seem more daunting when they’re spiralling around in our minds.  

Journaling has proven to be a positive way to express our thoughts and avoid ruminating. These don’t have to be deep and emotional (although they can be) – write down to-do lists, random thoughts or even some things you’re grateful for to decompress. This simple practice can help clear your mind, reduce stress amd bring a sense of order and calm to your day.   

3. Sleep 

The most important of all, sleep is a vital part of being more mindful. If you’re not well  rested, it can be challenging to take on everyday tasks in a calm, focused manner. Good sleep hygiene helps to decrease daily stress which will in turn reduce cortisol AND improve your skin!! After all, there isn’t much that can replace a good night’s sleep for your mind and body.
